Crafting When We Can Challenges 142 - One for the Girls

Over at CWWCC we have a new sponsor.

Our Sponsor the this challenge is a new sponsor Jackie of

Theme:  One for the Girls

We were generously given images to work with and I chose Evath.  I coloured her using Spectum Noir pens and the paper was from a 250gsm paper pad from B & M.  I think it was a bargain at £2.99 for 24 double sided card and I really like all the designs.  The shapes were cut on the SnC and I designed the flourish myself.  Not perfect but my own.  Nuvo glitter drops in the centre of the flowers and ribbon from chocolate box.  My MIL saves ribbons for me, she also asks her friends to save them for her and I'm sure I'm not the only person who uses the annoying ribbons in clothes that are supposed to hold the t-shirt on the hanger.  That's what flocked covered hangers are for.  The gold card is also from B & M 1.99 for 20 and it cuts like a dream.

Hop over to the Challenge and show us your Girly projects.

Crafting When We Can Challenges 141 - Animals

For our challenge over at CWWCC we have a theme of Animals and the prize is a selection of ribbons.  We have not sponsor so we went freestyle.  As people who read this blog know I love my Scan n Cut so my project was completely made using this machine.

I converted an image from a Daisytrail digi kit called Country ways.  CraftArtist 2 has the ability to convert files to .svg.  It took me a while to figure it out but now it's my go to program to convert picture to .svg.

The papers I used were from a 12 x 12 scrapbook pad from The Range called Mix & Match Colour Basics at £2.99 it fell into my basket.  It took a while to find it as it wasn't with the big brand scrap pads.  The yellow and orange are from a pack of Papermania card i've had for years.  Crystals from Poundland.  Ribbon from an Easter chocolate box.

Hop over to CWWCC and show us your Animal projects.

For challenge 140 we would like you to add circles.  Circles in any form from stamped, paper design, card shape etc.  Our generous sponsor is
Fabrika Fantasy

We were generously given an image to use and I chose Air Fairy.  I didn't fancy blue so I went with a vintage colouring.  Image coloured with Spectum Noir pens, paper from B & M paper pad Memory Lane, mats cut on Scan n Cut.  The sentiments are Sheena Douglass
Word stamps.
I think you'll agree there are plenty of circles on this card.  Hop over to CWWCC and show us your projects including circles.

Crafting When We Can Challenges #139 - Mixed Media

If my head wasn't attached to my shoulders I swear I'd lose it.  I made my project for the challenge and then forgot to post it.  Our sponsor for this challenge is

We were given images to use and I chose Birthday Jaz.  I coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens and a signo white pen for the spots on her socks.  I'm really impressed with this white pen it's so much better than ones I've used before.  The canvas was wiped with acrylic paint (using a face wipe as I didn't have any baby wipes).  I cut a stencil on my scan n cut and dabbed more paint onto the canvas.  Spectrum Noir pens were used to go around the stencilled shapes and then I used pearl paint and tonic Nuvo sparkle pearls to decorate them.
It's a looser style than I usually do but I think my Bestie will be proud, I got paint on my fingers and everything.  I didn't worry about the splogy paint and squiggles and I really enjoyed making this project.

Hop over to the Challenge and show us your mixed media projects.  All you have to do is use more than 1 media on your project.  Pens and glitter, paint and modelling paste etc.

Crafting When We Can Challenges 138 - Photo Inspiration

A little late with my post but when you're offered free tickets to see a new musical based in Sheffield you don't turn them down.  Saturday my crafting day was taken up watching a really good show called 'Everyone's Talking About Jamie' at the Crucible Theatre.

Anyhoo, the Challenge for this fortnight is sponsored by Vera from

Prize: $10 gift certificate for Lemon Shortbread shop

Theme: Inspirational Photo

We were kindly given an image to use and I chose Not My Dolly.  I used my SnC to cut my tag and layers.  The faux stitching was also done by the SnC.  Spectum Noir pens BT2, BT3, BT9, CT1, CR8, LG3 were used to colour the image and clear overlay Sparkle pens was used on the red dress.  I raided my button stash for the buttons, they were purchased from The Range.  The little half bobbins I wound cotton around were may by my OH on his 3D printer.  I really enjoyed making this tag.  Ribbon from stash, probably from around a chocolate box.

Hop over to the Challenge and show us your projects inspired by the photo and you may be in with a chance of winning the fabulous prize.

Doh...

I should have posted this on 22nd January but I completely forgot.

Our wonderful sponsor was Sasayaki Glitter Digital Designs and the theme was spots and/or stripes.  I went with both.

I designed a stripy mat, on S'n'C Canvas, that I could put something behind, I chose spotty paper.  I printed the image onto Crafters Companion Neenah Desert Storm, Kraft paper.  Unfortunately, I used the spectrum noir pencils.  Bad idea, there is no tooth to this paper and the pencils went shiny when blended, you'll see this on the photo.  I also cut the pattern for the pleated butterflies on the S'n'C.  The paper was some 12" x 12" I've had for years.

If you want to hop over to the CWWCC you can join in the current challenge which is #137 - FLOWERS

Crafting When We Can Challenges Challenge 137

The challenge over at Crafting When We Can Challenges is sponsored by

Theme: flowers

We were generously given an image to work with and I chose Pretty Flowers.

I used my Spectum noir pens to colour the image in and to colour the background papers.  Won't be doing that again, I used up so much ink.  The scan n cut cut the flower card blank and all the mats.  All card was from my stash.  The flowers were from my stash, I've had them for years.  I then used the scan n cut to cut the special and a die set by first choice for Mum.  I put them at the angle my OH wanted (it is his Mum after all) and used Viva pearl pen around the edge.  I also managed not to poke the pearls to see if they were dry.  So proud of myself.

As an afterthought I may add the pearls to the bottom layer to match the pink at the top.**pearls added to bottom layer**

Hop over to the CWWCC and join us by linking your wonderful projects.
